Economic Affairs secretary Shaktikanta Das nominated to RBI Central Board by Union Government Economic Affairs secretary Shaktikanta Das has been nominated to the Central Board of Directors of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). He has nominated by the Union Government in place of Ajay Tyagi. 10 Directors are nominated by Union Government in order to represent important elements from India’s economy. Saudi blogger ‘Raif Badawi’ wins Europe’s human rights award Saudi blogger Raif Badawi, who was recently sentenced to 10 years in prison for blogging about free speech, has won the Europe’s highest human rights award. The European Parliament on 29th Octoberannounced Badami the winner of the 2015 Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought. Badawi was arrested on June 2012.
