Continuation :
Type II :- Multiplicand digits < Multiplier digits
The same formula as in Type I will be applied in this type also, but with a little modification.
Formula :
Make the number of digits in multiplicand equal to the number of 9's by adding required 0's , before the multiplicand .
For LHS , Subtract 1 from multiplicand ;
For RHS , Write the complement of the multiplicand (obtained by adding required 0's ).
Type III: Multiplicand digits > Multiplier digits
Formula:-
Step 1- Divide the multiplicand into 2 parts , such that the number of digits on RHS of multiplicand is equal to the number of 9's in the multiplicand.
Step 2- Add 1 to the LHS of multiplicand and subtract the number obtained from whole of the multiplicand to get the LHS of answer.
Step 3- For RHS part answer, write the complement of RHS of the multiplicand.
